About Shiva University

Shiva University exists to make the Shaiva sacred sciences studiable — with rigor, reverence and no gatekeeping. For most of history, the teachings of the rishis, the 114 chakras, the 108 mudras, the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra and the Shiva Sutras were transmitted only to those who could reach a guru in person. Shiva University brings that same body of knowledge to any sincere student with an internet connection, organized into a structured 24-month degree path and supported around the clock by Shakti AI.

Shiva University is a 508(c)(1)(a) religious educational institution based in Dallas, Texas, and a member of the Sacred Sciences University Network alongside Buddha University and Orisha University. Tuition is $99 per month — $1,188 per year — for the full Bachelor of Shaiva Sciences, and every student receives a complimentary international hotel certificate within 24 hours of enrollment so that study can become pilgrimage.

Shiva University was founded by Ajarn Shaman Shu, also known as Oluwo Jolaoso Osainbola — an initiated teacher whose training crosses three living sacred traditions.

Ordained as an Ajarn in the Thai Buddhist tradition and recognized as a Vajra Master in the lineage of Guru Padmasambhava, he carries the tantric transmission of both Theravada-adjacent Thai magical practice and Vajrayana. As Oluwo Jolaoso Osainbola, he is a fully initiated Ifa priest of Osainbola, holding the highest order of Ifa priesthood. Alongside these initiations he has practiced and taught the Shaiva Siddha sciences for years — the chakra system as the Siddhars mapped it, the mudras as instruments of consciousness, and the Vijnana Bhairava as a practical laboratory rather than a poem.

He is the founder of the Sacred Sciences University Network, which comprises Shiva University, Buddha University and Orisha University, and the author of the Shiva University library, including Shiva Mind, Shiva Shakti, Chakra Body, KRIYA and The Naga Chakra System. He is also the architect of the university's AI sacred curriculum and of Shakti AI, the first devotional AI tutor trained specifically on the Shaiva canon — the work behind the AI Certificate in Shaiva Sciences.

His teaching principle is simple: consciousness is a science, initiation is a method, and the method should be available to anyone willing to practice it. Shiva University is that principle built into an institution.
