Pradhana-Prabhu — 108 Names of Shiva

Pradhana-Prabhu is a profound metaphysical title that establishes Shiva’s sovereignty over 'Pradhana' or 'Prakriti'—the primordial, unmanifested substance from which the entire physical universe arises. In the Samkhya and Shaiva philosophies, Pradhana is the 'matrix' of creation, containing the three Gunas (Sattva, Rajas, Tamas) in perfect equilibrium. Shiva, as Prabhu (Lord), is the conscious principle (Purusha) that agitates this equilibrium to begin the process of manifestation.
